I love working on commission paintings - from making pieces of art from people's personal pictures that are special to them, or using my interior design background to create a painting that matches your space perfectly. Fishy Fishy
This was a commissioned piece for the Brunswick Inn in Southport, NC - to bring the iconic shrimper boats of the area into the space.

Some nautical flair, a beautiful soft and cloudy color palate and the movement of the water made this commission so much fun to complete!
Iziar’s Cowboy
This request for a gaucho painting was a particularly interesting challenge - I brought together a handful of black and white reference photos and had to “fill in” the colors myself! The end product is one-of-a-kind.
The Path to a Pretty Painting
A client had a photograph in mind for a beachy painting - but wished the day was a little bit sunnier and brighter. Incorporating a blue sky and a cheerier color palate, the painting shows a path to sunny paradise!

This was a lovely commission piece done for a dear friend - it’s wonderful to see the finished painting framed, hung and bringing a myriad of blues and greens to the space!

A Wedding to Remember
This bride wanted to commemorate her wedding day and new family with a painted portrait of the happy couple and their adorable dogs. I worked with the bride to composite multiple images together (to get the expressions on the dogs’ faces just right!) and the piece turned out wonderfully. I hope they remember the joy of that special time each time they look at this painting!

Dedie's Trees
Dedie had a space in her house that was begging for a big, beautiful piece. She sent me the dimensions, the photograph she wanted and the colors of her room (her upholstery and palette) to guide me, and I was able to create a piece of art catered to her home and needs.
